Essentially I had to reset my PC and restore it. However I did not have the intelligence to make a copy of my Firefox data / bookmarks / passwords etc.

I always have sync turned on and I assumed that when I logged back into my account after the restore my data would sync back down. Unfortunately for the life of me I can not get firefox to sync to my browser.

It's the only PC I had with Firefox so I can even restore from a different device. I'm at a loss as to what I could possible do at this stage.

Did you have any problem when signing in to Sync?

For instance, did you reset the password for your Firefox Account?

Correct, it asked me to change the password which I know to be correct. Regardless I believe all my bookmark data is lost now and I can not revert back.

I logged into my laptop hoping that it was synced but instead what has happened is all the old data from my laptop has synced now to the desktop.

The end result being the data I needed has been overwritten by the older laptop sync data when I logged in there. Ultimately this means I have to start from scratch.

which I am now just going to rebuild in chrome anyway unless there is some method that allows me to revert back to historical sync data.
