As I am visually impaired, I run my Windows 7 PC in High Contrast mode. Everything was fine until Thunderbird updated to version 78.2.1. Now, instead of seeing yellow type on a black background, I get light gray type on a medium gray background.
I have tried changing type and background colors in Options, tried changing themes, all to no effect. However, HC works properly in the Options tab , and emojis and icons show in color. Also, when I open an email, it renders in color properly.
I have even tried to revert to the previous version, but it shows "no previous versions available."
Help! I can't read my emails!

Theme would have to be the default - a theme with the operating system colour scheme
I have tested this and agree, it is not good. Some areas are ok.
the folder icons in the Folder Pane can be set a colour. Right click on folder and select 'Properties' On the 'General Information' tab, there is a 'Icon colour' option - a square box clickable colour choice. Choose colour, click on ok, click on OK.
I've looked up to see if this is a bug and can confirm it is known and the developers have been working on this to get a fix. It sounds like it is currently being checked. Here is the link if interested: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1661229
