Whenever I try to add a bookmark in FF (81.0.2, 32-bit), the default folder for the bookmark is "Other Bookmarks", with the option to save the bookmark to the "Bookmarks Menu" folder (which is my preference).

How can I get FF to default to the "Bookmarks Menu" folder when saving a bookmark?

Thank you. Your suggestion worked for my specific issue, but there are some issues with the extension. When I click on the icon in the toolbar (which I believe is supposed to automatically save a bookmark), I get a search box that asks me to search for a folder, but doesn't actually show any available folders (I guess I'm expected to enter a full path and folder name?). Since I wasn't planning on using that icon to save a bookmark, I removed it from the toolbar. In any case, my problem is solved. Thanks again.
