Email address breached
I received an email today about my email address being breached and to change my password. I have never heard of the website, Teespring, that was breached and have not registered to use it. (No password or website in my Password Manager.) What should I do?

Hi, there are a few steps to ensure that your email account is safe. First of all, it is always wise to switch up your email account's password every few months to ensure that your account is safe and secure. You can also check whether the current email account has ever been breached, you will be able to check for any possible personal data beach (email, password, phone, etc) with this website "https://haveibeenpwned.com/". If the website shows that your account has been registered to a Teespring account before, then it was recommended to renew your password as a safety measure.
Here's an article detailing the data breach that happened to Teespring not long ago, do note that the article mentions that no passwords were leaked "https://www.zdnet.com/article/hacker-leaks-data-of-millions-of-teespring-users/". However, there is also a possibility that the hackers are withholding information and choosing not to reveal the stolen passwords, and thus it is recommended to change your password(s).
Where did the alert come from?

As a footnote, the company doesn't think passwords were in the stolen data: https://community.teespring.com/blog/security-incident-june-2020/
