outgoing mail server error
I am now receiving this message when trying to send email:
“Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.telus.net was lost in the middle of the transaction. Try again.”
I can receive mail a-ok but I can no longer send. This issue started all of a sudden without any changes to my settings & seems to coincide with Thunderbird update 78.13. Last email I was able to send was Aug 14th.

Thunderbird 78.13.0 Windows 10 with Windows Security
I’ve tried: - Deleting saved passwords (tried this multiple times) - Previous versions of Thunderbird & 91.03 - Different configuration settings for Outgoing Mail Server (as suggested on Thunderbird support page)
Any help?

Telus mail has long ago switched to gmail servers. See this topic for the correct settings:
