I keep getting a foreign language when I try to access some websites and my facebook account. I have checked my settings and they are set to English for the US. How do I fix this problem?

Are you using a proxy or VPN ?

You can use websites like these to see how your location is reported via a reverse DNS look up of your IP:

You can check the connection settings.

  • Settings -> General -> Network: Connection -> Settings

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then try to select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.
