I'm creating search folders (saved searches, virtual folders.) I have trouble selecting the folders to search. That is, I can't include a sent message folder of a Gmail IMAP account. The sent messages are not included in the search result, though I put a check to the sent message folder as folders to search. Then, I found the checkbox unchecked when I open the property window again.

It worked including a sent message folder as search target, when I put a check to the message folders other than Gmail (e.g. a dovecot IMAP server.)

Would you tell me how to choose sent message folders of Gmail IMAP account as a search target?

The environment is:

  • Thunderbird 91.3.1 Build 20211112203138

I have the exact same issue and I am making the whole new profile (since my previous profile has gotten corrupt started to merge some letters together with nothing helping to solve this), and I have no extensions installed yet, so suggestions to "Repair folder" or delete index files from the profile or anything like that would not help.

When I go to select folders to monitor and check the box on a GMail folder then check gets removed so I am not getting anything in my Unified folders (e.g. Sent) which is annoying to a degree that it forces me to look for another mail client (even though I do not want that since Thunderbird would be great if not such glitches).

My Thunderbird version is 95.0b3 (64-bit, a fully updated beta) so it seems like the issue affects several versions.
