I am sorry to hear that you have left; however, am happy to hear that you switched to a still privacy-respecting browser.

Although you have said that you do not want to spend time finding a solution, I will still post a few solutions that may help you.

If I may ask, is this only at the start of launching or is this always?

I also think that this may be a profile issue. If you could, please go to about:profiles and make a new profile, open that in a new window and see how that goes. If it works well, you might be in need of a refresh.

thank you it is slow all the time not just on startup anytime you click on a link to another site checked my resources and firefox is using almost all of my 16 gigs of ram. I tried to change my profile and made no difference... whatever firefox did it is really screwed up....sorry to see this ray
