Hi, More than a week ago I noticed that people were not getting my e-mails from Thunderbird. I have checked my HostGator settings and they seem to be fine. When I send e-mail via my phone, people can get it. When I use Thunderbird, they don't. I have turned off my firewall and antivirus, but I still cannot send e-mails. My incoming e-mail works fine.

I am using version #91.5.1 (64-bit) with Windows 10 PRO (64-bit) Please help, Thank you, Radim

As you previously only sent using Plain Text it would not include any html info.

How are you adding the signature ? Do you use a html file to add signature ? If yes, did you use Thunderbird 'Write' window to create the signature, save it as html file in a suitable folder on desktop and then select the checkbox in Account Settings to use that html file ? Is the url a clickable image ?

Do you allow signature delimiter -- to be included? Do you use a table to control the positioning of information in the signature?

I'm sending you an email into which I've added links to your website. Please let me know if you get it.

Are your sent messages shown in the Sent or Sent Mail folder? Do they appear in your webmail sent folder?

Yes, they appear in sent folder.

Send me a test email to this email address - mail at anje dot co dot uk note I have written it phonetically in order to avoid spam bots, so 'at' means '@' and dot means a full stop. I'll let you know if it gets to me.

re :I have checked my HostGator settings and they seem to be fine. But what are you using ?

Do you use port 465 with Connection Security : SSL/TLS and Authentication Method: Normal Password ?

It would be helpful if you posted info: Menu app icon > Help > More Troubleshooting Information 'Mail and New Accounts' section Copy all info and paste into this forum. Do not post your actual 'User Name' which is probably your full email address or 'Password'.

You might be sending ok but emails are being removed by the spam filters on receiving server because they do not like something. Perhaps your email address or IP address has got onto a spam filter like spamhaus. Worth checking. https://check.spamhaus.org/

If the messages appear in the Sent folder, they have reached your provider's smtp server, and have been relayed on to the recipient's mail server. If they aren't showing to your recipients, it's probably because they have been filtered by their providers' spam controls. Ask recipients to check their Spam/Junk/Bulk folders, and if your messages appear there, recipients need to unblock or whitelist your address, possibly by adding it to the webmail address book.

Just today I received a legitimate message that was put in the Spam folder by the provider's filters (false positive). Note that POP accounts only download the Inbox, so the Spam folder (unrelated to the TB Junk controls) isn't noticed unless the account is viewed in webmail.

Hi Todd, I have sent you an e-mail. It is now in my sent box in Thunderbird, and also checked it on the server, and it is there. Yes, port 465 with Connection Security : SSL/TLS and Authentication Method: Normal Password.

I have been also sending test e-mails to myself, and they never show up in Spam folder. Spamhaus for www.radimphoto.com cleared fine.

Here is the copy of the troubleshooting log: https://radimphoto.com/temp/Radim2_Thunderbird.xls

it didn't fit here. Thanks, Radim

Something strange is going on. I have removed URL from my signature (fireflyexperience.org), and now it seems to work. I got several e-mails by removing my URL. Not sure why URL in my signature should be problem, I have been using it for years without a problem.

I still need to confirm that this is the issue. If it is, why and how do I get my URL back in my signature?

Again, this is not a issue with spam box. They are not catching there.

Thanks Radim

I received the email into Inbox - the one with url removed. I've sent a reply just so you can be certain it arrived as expected. This proves you are able to send.

I noticed the email source code showed you had only sent the email as Plain Text.

Do you create/compose emails in Plain Text or HTML ? Do you normally use a html file to add signature ?

Check sending options: Menu app icon > Preferences > Composition click on 'Send Options' button I use the following to send in both. uncheck 'send messages as plain text if possible' Select 'Send the message in both plain text and html' click on OK

I tried that. It didn't solve the issue. I still have to remove the URL from the signature. It seems that it doesn't like my domain name ;-( ...I am noticing some issues with my other forwarded e-mails. I wonder if the server(s) are blocking it without sending to spam folder? Why would my domain got blocked? Hm... not sure where go with this now, since I am not certain this is Thunderbird issue.

Thanks for your help

Yes, the signature was the issue. Thank you for helping me with this. It happened to be that I was dealing with another e-mail that wasn't working properly, which made everything even more confusing. Thank you very much! Radim

Sent you an email which includes an attachment. It is an image showing you what I see, so you have a recipient view of your sent email.
