Corrupted Downloads?
Ever tried to download a file through firefox and then pause it to resume it after sometime and end up having the rest of the file being downloaded in an instant but upon opening realise the file has been corrupted. I am facing this issue like so frequently it has become like a norm that pausing a downloading file will give a corrupted one for sure. And please note that other browsers don't reproduce the issue infact the links are pause supported in all aspects

Sorry but can't. Just like any other bloatware, it's stuck in my phone storage. Not much of a tech geek so really can't apply usb debugging to remove those stuffs. Thanks for your time between. Will use an external download manager to manage for the time being.

Hi
I am sorry for the delay in responding. Do you have an example of a page and link I can use to try to replicate what you are seeing?

Thanks for the reply. Well the issue persist with every downloading link. https://m.apkpure.com/vlc-for-android/org.videolan.vlc/download?from=details Take VLC media player for example. Click on the link to start download and pause it before it could complete downloading. Now after the download is finished try parsing the package and it will show a error something like the one shown in pic below. But try reproducing this with any other browser and it will install without any hiccups

Hey there thanks for the response. Yep sure (between pretty much every downloading link resume supported is showing the same error). Take for example https://m.apkpure.com/vlc-for-android/org.videolan.vlc/download?from=details Just click on the link to download the player and stop it midway downloading the file. Then resume the download and after it's completion try parsing the file it will show error (firefox basically corrupted it midway donno how). Well the fault is of the browser here. Try replicating with any other browser too
I have just tried with Firefox and the file fully downloaded.
Are you using a strong and stable WiFi connection?
Sorry but did you pause it midway of downloading and then resume it? That's where I am facing the problem. Yess I do have a stable and strong wifi connection.
Hi
Yes, I did pause it midway and resumed the download.
Are you finding this problem is repeatable on your device?
Do you have any antivirus or firewall apps installed on your device?
Yess it's quite often more like it has become a norm that pausing a download will lead to corrupted files. Not a third party antivirus though but I currently own a OPPO Reno 3 pro and it has a built in security manager which basically acts as my phone antivirus and firewall
Modified
Are you able to turn off that firewall app?
