Microphone not working in Firefox or Chrome, but Camera is
I believe this happened after some Windows update.
Neither in Firefox, nor in Chrome can I get my microphone to work. The browsers are correctly asking for permission to access the microphone, apparently the website gets a positive feedback, but no audio stream.
For example, if I use the online microphone test, the test widget displays a line, but no visualisation of my speaking. https://www.onlinemictest.com/
The webcam works fine, and the microphone does work in other applications.
Teams Web even allows me to switch Microphone from my headset to the internal mic, but it doesn’t change anything.
Might there be some Windows Policies in play that forbid browsers in general to access the microphone?
How can I further analyse this issue?
Thanks a bunch already!

Hi there!
Just so you know, I also have this problem. In Chrome thou the camera doesn't work either.
I will add that I'm on Windows 11. I also have a basic Logitech C310 webcam and that all the drivers are up to date (I even tried to install older drivers and they got updated).
I just made a complete clean install of Windows 11. Before I did, I was on a Windows 11 upgraded from Windows 10 and everything was working before my reinstall.
I already made a Google Chrome bug report and I'm still waiting for a reply.
Hope Mozilla will be faster at answering to our problem.
Thanks!
