What is Firefox mobile desktop view?
What is the definition of desktop view/desktop site?
I did a search. There are answers for how to enable it, but I can't find an explanation for that it is exactly?

from the iOS article
When viewing websites on your iPhone or iPad, the sites will often look different than they would on a desktop computer. Here’s how to change your view of mobile sites in order to see desktop site layouts.
If you have a larger screen device like a tablet then the desktop view may be easier to use as the mobile versions meant for smartphones may be more compact or basic in comparison.
You posted this thread in the (desktop) Firefox section for Windows, macOS, Linux. There are sections for Firefox on Android and iOS.

Yeh, sorry, I wasn't thinking. So essentially it's meant for a tablet, not my phone, correct?

You can use it on phone too I suppose though everything may be small depending on your screen and resolution size and how well the desktop site scales etc. I was just saying the desktop version of site may look or work better on a tablet compared to the mobile version of the site.
It is also for your phone, but it may make the website very smaller and harder to navigate using touch.
Desktop sites may be less conservative with your system resources, run slower on lower spec phones and drain your battery.
Thanks everyone. I'll play with it on my tablet, to visualize.
