Firefox not outputting any audio to Volume Mixer

more options

Hi there, Last night I installed some new hardware into my PC, new motherboard and CPU for example. After that, I booted up the PC, everything worked completely fine and I was able to listen to Youtube / Twitch / Spotify etc. through Firefox.

This morning I boot up the PC, everything still works perfectly and I have audio coming from all other sources EXCEPT for Firefox. I have browsed every forum already but can not find anything that relates to me. I can't set my output device, since Firefox doesn't show up in the volume mixer. The tabs aren't muted. I have restarted Audiosrv and Windows Explorer several times. I have re-installed Firefox twice. I have tried booting it in safemode. All of the above hasn't resulted in a single second of audio. I am at a loss.

Kind regards, Siem Hoefnagels

Does it still happen in Developer Edition?

It does not actually, in Developer edition without signing in or anything I do get sound.

What does that mean though?

Does it still happen with normal Firefox in a new profile? Alternatively you can refresh your existing profile.

I did try refreshing my own profile which did not help. I recall having the issue before when I installed a new PSU and GPU. That time the issue fixed itself after 2 days. At that time I also tried refreshing my profile which did not help either.

Is there a major difference in functionalities for creating a new profile and refreshing the existing one? I would prefer to keep the profile with all saved logins and settings of course.

Please try to uninstall audio drivers and check.

I have also tried doing that already, it made no difference.
