My character encoding was on iso 8859 1 and I changed it to utf 8 and neither of them show these symbols. I see a square with 2682 and 2681 in them. I've recently upgraded to the newest version of FF and didn't have this problem until I upgraded.

It was a locked post, I moved the content of it to a public post though. I also include a bunch of other symbols that don't load.

&81; (Die face-2) and &82; (Die face-3) are Die face symbols. You seem to be missing a font that can display them or the font is corrupted. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Miscellaneous_Symbols

Pages that use Unicode (UTF-8) display a little box with the hex code if the character can't be displayed. That allows you to look up the character in a table.

If you see such a box with hex code in it then that means that Firefox can't map a character to a specific font and you have to install a font that covers the affected characters.

As a test you can also try to disable the website fonts and try some different default font like Verdana to see if that works. ools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors: Advanced ([[ ] Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above)
