Firefox crashes in safe mode and regular mode
Firefox crashes when started in regular and safe modes as well as periodically while using the program (if I can get the program to actually start successfully). The supposed "safe mode" thread on the forum was worthless. Perhaps my only option is simply to uninstall the program and use IE or Safaree.

Your Firefox settings and info are kept in a folder separate from the Firefox program, called your profile folder. Try creating a test profile, to see if the problem still occurs. See Profile Manager - Create, remove or switch Firefox profiles
Try launching Safe Mode in Mozilla Firefox, to help determine if an extension is causing problems. At the top of the Mozilla Firefox window, click on the ‘File’ menu and select ‘Exit’. Then in Windows, click ‘Start’, open ‘All Programs’ list and navigate to the Mozilla Firefox folder. In Mozilla Firefox folder, select Mozilla Firefox (Safe Mode). Mozilla Firefox will start up with the Mozilla Firefox Safe Mode dialog box. Plug-ins are programs that work within Mozilla Firefox and allow you to experience multimedia content such as video, animation or sounds. You should try to uninstall and then reinstall the flash plug-in if it crashes. Plug-ins can crash within their own code or can cause a crash within Firefox code. For which you should try to update your Plug-ins to the latest versions, which you can do through Mozilla plug-in check. Some media players also crash like VLC Media Player Plug-in due to conflicts with Windows Media Player Plug-in. So you need to disable them.
