Firefox 3.6.6 keeps crashing on different web sites. I have updated Flash, rebooted, etc. My latest crash signature is: F1905979889______________
Firefox version: 3.6.6. Flash version 10. Was previously hanging up and crashing flash, updating flash seems to have fixed this. However, I still am having crash issues with Mozilla. I have done multiple full anti virus scans, no virus found. Crash signature: F1905979889'''''''''''''__. Thank you for any help!

More info. Mozilla just crashed again after Bejeweled Blitz for facebook. Different crash signature. Details:ID: 87a20e07-8c6a-43c5-b8ee-2f8a12100719 Signature: js_TraceObject
Another crash while my daughter was on fantage.com. She didn't send the report, so don't have ID on that one. Tried taking flash out of the plug-in container, but that doesn't seem to be helping, so put it back in. Did leave the timeout set to -1, although this doesn't seem to be helping either.
The crash Report ID in the first message indicates the crash was caused by Shockwave Flash (aka Adobe Flash). You did not indicate whether the Report ID was prior to your updating of Flash.
Please reply with a list of only the Report ID numbers as instructed in the following: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+crashes#Getting_help_with_your_crash In addition, read the rest of that article and see if any of the following apply to your situation: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_crashes http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+crashes+when+you+open+it http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+will+not+start http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser_will_not_start_up
As for the second item (Details:ID: 87a20e07-8c6a-43c5-b8ee-2f8a12100719 / Signature: js_TraceObject), that is a JavaScript issue and several bug reports are currently active and being investigated by the Firefox development team.
Please instruct your daughter to always submit the bug reports so that the development team is made aware of every crash. Thanks.
~~red:On the system from which your posted your first question/comment.~~
Other Issues: ~~red:You have installed plug-ins with known security issues. You should update them immediately.~~
Update Shockwave for Director (aka Shockwave Player): your ver. 11.0; current ver. 11.5.7.609 (important security update released 2010-05-11; see http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-12.html) NOTE: this is not the same as Shockwave Flash; this installs the Shockwave Player. ~~red:Check your version here~~: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ SAVE the installer to your hard drive (Desktop is a good place so you can find it). When the download is complete, exit Firefox (File > Exit), locate and double-click in the installer you just downloaded, let the install complete. See: Installing Shockwave
You ~~red:MAY~~ need to Update Adobe Reader for Firefox (aka Adobe PDF Plug-In For Firefox): your ver. N/A; current ver. 9.3.3 (important security update release 06-29-2010; see: http://www.adobe.com/support/security/bulletins/apsb10-15.html) ~~red:Check your version here~~: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/plugincheck/ See: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+the+Adobe+Reader+plugin+with+Firefox#Installing_and_updating_Adobe_Reader You may be able to update from the Adobe Reader installed on your system instead of going to the Adobe site and downloading. Open the Adobe Reader installed on your system (in Windows, Start > Program Files, find and click Adobe Reader to open), click Help, click Check for Updates. If you go to the Adobe site to download the current Adobe Reader: -use Firefox to download and SAVE to your hard drive (save to Desktop for easy access) ~~red:-See the images at the bottom left of this post to see the steps to take on the Adobe site~~ -exit Firefox (File > Exit) -In Windows: check to see that Firefox is completely closed (Ctrl+Alt+Del, choose Task Manager, click Processes tab, if "firefox.exe" is on the list, right-click "firefox.exe" and choose End process, close the Task Manager window) -In Windows: double-click on the Adobe Reader installer you just downloaded to install/update Adobe Reader
- NOTE: On Vista and Windows 7 you may need to run the plugin installer as Administrator by starting the installer via the right-click context menu if you do not get an UAC prompt to ask for permission to continue (i.e nothing seems to happen). See this: http://vistasupport.mvps.org/run_as_administrator.htm
- NOTE for IE: Firefox and most other browsers use a Plugin. IE uses an ActiveX version. To install/update the IE ActiveX version, same instructions as above, except use IE to download the ActiveX installer. See: ActiveX

All the crash signatures I have listed are after the update of Flash. I will try updating the others and see if that helps, thanks! Also I did read the articles, these are not at startup, no one certain site, not yahoo or gmail, etc.
Weeks of TRASH = FIREFOX 3.66
All three of my computers have been totally worthless since I upgraded to FF3.66. Each are built/configured differently. Each has a different OS. Each has all the above problems. Crashes constantly, RAM & CPU usage on a Q9650 is always near 100%. After screwing around for days I finally came here and found out that I was among a very large and upset group of users. With the last few upgrade I've had minor problems with my selection of add-ons Firefox disabled them for a later fix. I found a new DL today, 3.67 so I installed it figuring the problem was addressed. After installation of 3.67 it still says it's 3.66??
I went to their site to find help from them and couldn't get anyplace until I came here and read about my problem. Thanks for giving me a clear head so I could find a good solution.
My solution was to remove all Mozilla/Firefox products and then install other browsing options. It felt funny because for the first time in years I had to use Microsoft Internet Explorer to find other options. My computer is problem free and fast as usual now.
I wonder how many other users have abandoned them due to this BS?? I for one will probably stick with my new choices now.
YES, Weeks of TRASH = FIREFOX 3.66
Ok. Updated the add-ons. Seemed to run fine until I exited, then crashed during the shut-down. It is possible the adobe add-on had not restarted at this point, as I just the new add-on box when I restarted Firefox for the crash report. Saw new FF version available this morning! Thank you! I updated it, hopefully that will help! If not, I'll be sure to let you know.
surfed and played for almost an hour without problems. Closed down, screen showed the desktop, I think hey, it's fixed, right? Wrong. Looked at the computer a few minutes later, and crash box was up again. No signature assigned because it couldn't figure out which thread failed. Here are the details. ID: 7f49f2cd-23b8-462f-ae3c-863a92100721 Signature: (empty signature) I disabled all extensions, rebooted firefox, now I'll close out and we'll see what happens. Yes, this is now FF version 3.6.7 that crashed this time.
Crashed earlier on my 9-year old on nick Jr. She got mixed up and clicked "don't send" on the report, instead of "send". Since then it has not crashed any more on me, now it just froze up enough to where even ctrl-alt-delete wouldn't work. Had to push power button and start over.
Ok, this time it went directly to the blue screen that says "windows has detected a problem and is now closing..... beginning dump of physical memory". I shut down computer via power button, waited 15 sec., and brought it back up, expecting to see a crash report box. But there was no crash report box. This is still with all extensions turned off.
