Hi, friends ! To remove bigseekpro, u have to search the registry with regseeker and then delete all entries found. I had 13 entries with bigseekpro and regseeker removed all of them for me and now firefox doesnt show bigseekpro as start page any more, and i suppose IE doesnt, either. Hope to have been of help. Best wishes

I used regedit and it worked perfectly. Not many people have the guts to edit the register file, but I find it is the only way to get rid of some nuisance programs. I think you have the best solution! Thanks!

what did you search for in regedit? I can't find anything with "big seek pro" or "bigseekpro".

This site explains very good how to recreate default firefox search with google ... but remember you may have to remove some addon which created the toolbar in first place as well .. for me it was some video converter ..

Go to Tools select Add-ons then search for Express Toolbar addon named something liked that , click remove and voila ! enjoy.

OK...I had the same problem! Sorted now...follow these steps:

1.Open another tab and type in about:config. Click Accept and you'll be directed to another page

2. here in the search box type keyword.URL

3. a string will appear.

4. Double click on it and paste this : http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=utf-8&q=

5. click OK and close the tab.

6. Now go to tools>Options>change your home page to default or type in your favorite website as homepage. Click OK to close options.

7. Now go to tools>Addons. Delete any unnecessary/unknow addons that are there..example: express toolbar.

8. All set!!

Hello Everyone.

I downloaded some video editing software and gotten the Bigseekpro/somoto bug in my homepage. I just downlaoded an updated version of Firefox but I cannot get to a web browser, like I had before this happened. I have malwarebytes and eset and they don't find it. How can I set up my homepage to keep this from getting back in there.

Any help would be helpful.

Thank you

Eddy

Hi everybody. I have a trouble like this and I think I founded its source. Friday I downloaded Free Youtube Downloader 3.3.91

at same time with a Youtube Downloader, a FYTDL DB Toolbar installed too (see attached pic)

I had the same problem. Changing settings via about:config didn't work, disabling Firefos add-ins didn't work but then I found a mention of Hyper Cam which I'd installed a free trial of recently. Removing that didn't solve the problem.

Then I found that there was also another program in the Control Panel program list called "Hyperionics DB Toolbar". It might not be intended as malware but it certainly behaves like it. The minute I removed Hyperionics DB Toolbar my problems went away completely, and Firefox returned to its old self.

Problem solved. :-)

Hey I tried all the recommend solutions (about:config, deleting addons, regedit search, and then I tried deleting Hyperionics DB Toolbar) and now my browsers are saying server not found immediately. Im worried I deleted some important files in the registry. Does anyone have any other ideas. Before my browsers could occasionally connect, but other times would get error page trying to redirect to bigseekpro. Now nothing is working. Let me know. Thanks.

Download Hijack This (written by Trend Micro, now open source). From download to scan to fix takes about 10 minutes. Hurray.
