Firefox is crashing randomly and frequently, no matter what page I'm viewing.

My firefox has been crashing daily, and not just once or twice but constantly. It happens most when I'm on ebay.com, facebook.com, or myspace.com. But it is not limited to those three pages. I thought it might have to do with the Adobe problem, but I've updated my flash player (a few different times) and I'm still getting numerous crashes. I've even tried removing Adobe completely and reinstalling from scratch. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with this "www.wq32.com"... Occasionally when attempting to connect to a site, this URL takes over and redirects me. I'm sure it is some sort of spyware or virus but I haven't been able to pinpoint it, and none of my antivirus programs have detected any issues. I've even wiped the entire hard drive out and reinstalled Windows, still can't get rid of either problem. None of these issues occur in IE, only firefox. I refuse to switch though, I've been a die-hard firefox user for probably as long as it's been public. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

@ Wizill090:

Your crash reports indicate a problem with Notepad (Firefox 3.6.8 Crash Report [@ notepad.dll@0x46e6 ] )

Are you using an extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) to open files in notepad?

I use FireGetures 1.5.7, Java Console 6.0.20, and is disabled called XULRunner 1.9.1. I just recently disabled the XULRunner, not even sure what it is actually. Hopefully that will fix the issue.

Nope, still getting crazy random crashes. I just got a notification for Java's update. Going to install now and hope and pray that it fixes it.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in safe mode (don't forget to select Disable all add-ons when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See this article for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and this one for plugins.

If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.

If the problem does not disappear when all add-ons are disabled, please tell me, so we can work from there. Please have no fear of following my instructions to the line, as all can be easily undone.
