windowsXP. I have several different user accounts on the pc. How do I make firefox the same for each user profile (instead of having to install new plugins for each user)?

You can install the extensions using the global installation method as shown at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installing_extensions

Global installation will install the extensions in the application directory rather than the profile folder, this makes the extensions available for all profiles.

Wow. I was hoping to find something a little easier. But I'll see what I can do. Thanks for your help!

An alternative approach would be to use the FEBE add-on. It can be used to backup your extensions and other user data, and restore it to another profile. You can use it to periodically sync the add-ons used by the different profiles.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installing_extensions#Global_installation - The information provided here about command line global installation is not applicable to Firefox 3.6+ versions, the code for that particular command line parameter was removed.

You can still do a "global installation" of extensions by placing the XPI package in the \Program Files\Firefox\extensions\ folder, when Firefox is closed. As each Profile is launched the extension will be installed in that Profile.

Thanks for your help. The FEBE was a simple fix. Temporary, but works.
