I have two PCs: C1 is connected via modem to the land-line. C2 is connected by wireless to C1. The site http://firepow.com will not recognize my user-name and password on C1 as it did until a few months ago. It recognizes the UN and PW on C2. The site recognizes the UN and PW on C1 when using Chrome, WE7 and Opera. The site has been built around FF and it is essential to get it working on C1.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling FF without resolving the problem.

Try to clear the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
You can rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
