Can I use saved bookmarks off of a USB key?
I use a variety of computers, both at school and at work, and there's no regularity to the machine I'll be working on. This makes saving bookmarks a real pain, as there are literally hundreds of computers that I work on. So, is it possible to save my bookmarks file to a USB key, so that I take them with me from computer to computer. I'd love to be able to simply use bookmarks that I bring with me, and that way, I can quickly customize any machine I happen to be working at.
Thanks,
J

you can use Firefox Sync to sync the bookmarks.

Unfortunately, this solution won't work. Installing this would require admin access on all the computers, and on many, I don't have it. But I do carry around a USB key to all of them, which is why I was hoping there was a way to store the bookmarks file there.
A bookmarks.html file can be viewed in any browser just like a web page, using File > Open File...
