After I open a site in a new tab, the wheel never stops spinning as though it was still opening the site. It never stops even when I go to another site. I also cannot close the tab. It stays open with the wheel spinning until I close out of Firefox 3.6.12. Use Vista OS

If 19 people have this problem I don't understand why Mozilla has not given me a reply with a solution. Please respond or tell me if this post is in the wrong place.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Thank you so much for your reply. I've been waiting so long. I will try your suggestion as soon as I have access to my computer. Thanks again.

I was having this issue also but with Firefox 4.0 and Windows 7. It was only happening on one site though but disabling an add-on did the trick "Live HTTP Headers" which helps with website development issues was conflicting.

I had this. Found the problem for me was the AddOn "ImageTweak" version 0.22 - I'm running Firefox 3.6.18
