I followed instructions to import my Explorer favorites to firefox- all the folders came over but they are empty-and no unsorted favorites...what gives?

I recently downloaded Internet Explorer 9, and boy, am I sorry I did...it won't work, crashed completely so using Firefox for now...tried to import faves, no luck-followed instructions to import favorites -folders all empty?

Export the Favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in the Firefox Bookmarks Manager.

  • Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
  • Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File
