Hi guys, can anyone help me?

My add on bar at the bottom of my FF5 (Windows 7) is missing. It is shown briefly when I start FF , and disappears immediately.

When I look up the settings, the add on bar is ticked - I tried to untick and tick it again, but still the add on bar does not show - does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Thank you.

Ctrl+/ is a toggle for the addons bar, equivalent to starting from the View menu, or from the "Firefox button" ...

You can make Firefox 4.0.1 and Firefox 5.0 look like Firefox 3.6.17, see numbered items 1-10 in the following topic Fix Firefox 4.0 toolbar user interface, problems (Make Firefox 4.0 look like 3.6)

Thank you for your quick reply, Ritchie. I knew this short cut. The problem has sorted itself out in the meantime. I realized that the bottom of the browser window got hidden behind the Windows task bar, so the window was larger than the screen. When I clicked on the symbol next to the red cross in the top right corner of the FF window, the window was automatically adjusted between the top and the task bar on the bottom of the screen as we know it from any window, and the add on bar is now visible again.

It is possible that the screen is too wide or too high and that the scroll bars fall off.
Open the system menu via Alt+Space and see if you can resize that window.
If that works then close Firefox (File > Exit/Quit) to save that setting.
