hi--i LOVED the firefox toolbar function of auto-suggest or auto-complete whenever i started typing a search term in the right side upper bar currently listed for google search. this used to be to be my awesome bar, but now it doesn't show that as an option, it just shows google and bing and yahoo etc. if i was typing a pharmaceutical term, the bar would suggest the completed medication term without me having to spell it out--terrific!! my iPhone still has auto complete. i am using a mac book pro with snow leopard. and when i type in sites even that i visit often, there is no auto-complete suggestion appearing so i have to type all my search terms out in full. i tried the customize, and i set the bar to auto suggest but it still isn't working. i restarted computer and still no go. several times i used the "clear browser history" feature in past because i was getting the circling round rainbow icon slowing my computer responses to all commands. haven't used it in a month though and have corrected firefox to auto complete again and have used search terms recently that are still not autocompleting now. help, i love and need this feature! i have the most updated firefox version, whichever that is. ty so much for your great work!! kateyesofblue@gmail.com

ok, so i found it under firefox, preferences, privacy and i AGAIN made settings as indicated in firefox instructions. remember history and remember history and book marks. so now if i type in huff, it will suggest huffington post. good,\. however if i type in gaba or asena, i do not get the finished medication listing like on my phone and like i used to on firefox. i read on firefox that if you ever hit "clear history" then you can't ever get auto suggest again. that can't be true! i was told to do that by macbook pro person to clear the dumb circling rainbow thingy. do i need to re-download firefox to start over and get it to do what was basic before?
