Firefox not baking any new cookies
For a few weeks now, I've been unable to get Firefox to keep any new cookies.
(Specifically, we're talking about logins for various sites.)
Any cookies that were created before this problem appeared and haven't yet expired are fine. New cookies I create by logging in to a site, however, don't get retained beyond the current browser session. If I close the browser, they're all gone. (They do last the duration of the browser session, however.)
My privacy settings are set to "Remember history". I don't have "Tell web sites I don't want to be tracked" checked. I don't recall making any configuration changes at the time this started happening (obviously I didn't notice right away, though, so it's hard to pinpoint the exact commencement of the problem).
I'd be happy to provide any more information needed to solve this problem.

And you have checked Accept cookies from sites, and you don't have exceptions?

As I said, my privacy settings are set to "Remember history" - if I switch to "Custom", everything is checked except "Clear history when Firefox closes". And I have no exceptions for cookie storage.
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete cookies.sqlite-journal and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
Well, it looked like deleting the cookies file had fixed it. Yesterday, things seemed to be working properly. But today it's back to doing what it was doing before... though the cookies do seem to be working properly for at least one site, Wikipedia (at least via its secure server).
