Could updating Firefox have caused my wireless network to quit working?

We have a desktop and a laptop on the wireless network. Yesterday I updated the laptop to Firefox 8.0.1, and today the wireless is not connecting on the laptop. It's still functioning on the desktop, which already had 8.0.1.
