Still have problem with FF 7 or higher. I have tried to update from 6.0.2 to newer versions of FF. I keep getting the message: "TypeError: Components.classes['@threatexpert.com/XPCOM/BDCoreAccess;1'] is undefined". I have shut down all firewalls, extensions, etc. This message does not occur with FF 6.0.2. I have disabled all extensions and still get message. This does not happen in safe mode. I have tried on my tower that has a completely different configuration and same thing happens.

It looks like you have a problem with an extension, possibly "ThreatExpert Memory Scanner"

I'd try removing it and then updating Firefox. See How to disable extensions and plugins
