See installing a previous version of firefox The usual recommendation if you must downgrade is to use firefox 3.6; which is now I believe Firefox 3.6.25

The current Release version of firefox is 9.0.1 which was released 21st December 2011. If you are able to

  • confirm which version you are using (Your system information aside suggests you are using 8.0.1)
  • and say exactly what the problems is, and whether it relates to only one site or all use of Firefox maybe someone will be able to offer suggestions.
