Firefox is my default browser. I have a 3 month old HP PC with Windows 7. When I click on an e-mail link to a video, the video keeps stopping to load the buffer. But if I paste the video link into Explorer, it runs fine. My Firefox is 5.0 and updated through 11/2011. I changed the Compatibility Mode to Windows 7 (it was on XP), but that just made it worse. Adobe Flash is current. The problem is definitely Firefox. For now, I changed default browser to Explorer, and that solves it, but I prefer using Firefox. What now?

Upgraded to Firefox 9. No change.

Your suggestion didn't help. FF 9.0 has the same problem. Others are complaining about this also. What now?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can try to increase the session store saving interval to see if that has any effect on the freezes.

Was set at default (15000), and changes could void my warranty. Not useful.
