i have two computers. 1 with firefox 8 which navigates all aspects of Ebay(as a seller) fine. 2 with firefox 9.0.1 which has decided to stop me me editing variations in my listings. Ebay have suggested clearing out the cache etc but to no avail. This is causing a huge inconvenience and I reall don't want to go back to Internet Explorer(which also works fine)

We are having the same problem, 3 computers, 2 with 9.0.1, and they are not working for editing variable listings on eBay, but the older version on the other computer is working. You can get into the listing to revise it in other ways but when you click on "change variations:"or "change pictures", nothing happens. I also would like to stay with Firefox. Is there a way to go back to the old firefox? I am sure anyone who has downloaded the new one and has eBay is having the same problem.

Remove the browser cache and cookies.

We did that, and much more, the computer that has the old version on it we did not and it really should cause a problem but it works on there. Do you have the 9.0.1 version and a eBay store? if so have you tried to edit a variation yet? I just do not know what else it could be besides something with firefox. I can edit everything in the listing except the variations, and only using the 9.0.1 firefox.

Hi, I'm so "pleased" you have the same problem!! I thought it was just me and I've been going crazy. Exactly like you I clicked on edit variation a couple of days ago and ........nothing. same with change pictures. I have an ebay shop is it happening with just ordinary sellers as well? I did as the other guy said cleared cache, cookies etc but still nothing. I'm waiting on more suggestions from Ebay. Is there any way I can ditch Firefox 9 and go back to 8? Can anyone out there help us with this? Please!

Maybe a regression in FF9, surely. Yahoo Mail is affected too. Can someone write clear "steps to reproduce" that bug on ebay?

yes, suekind, the real problem is changing the pictures, because most other things can be done in the bulk edit, but I needed to add some pictures, that is how I noticed it. I hope they find a fix for it, I would rather use firefox then explorer.

Can someone test with Firefox 10 beta or Aurora? Maybe it's fixed in these versions. And please, post STR.

I am not sure why this is saying that the problem is solved, because it isn't. So I hope that they are still working on it.

I just had this reply from Ebay... why go back to 3.6? Is it possible to download 8 which seems to do everything I need?

Thank you for writing back to eBay with regard to changing the variation for listing.

Sue, please let me assure you there isn't any issue with your eBay account. The issue which you have been facing due to Firefox (9.0) latest version. The Firefox latest version is hybird with Beta version. So it's not much compatible with eBay site.

Unfortunately, we can't guarantee the uninterrupted performance of our site, mainly due to the wide variety of different computer and Internet setups in use by our members and the problems that conflicting software can generate.

In order to resolve this problem, you may downgrade the Firefox version from 9.0 to 3.6. I have included link at below to download the Firefox 3.6 version Or you may continue to use Internet Explorer.

I had this problem but IE worked fine. Cookies and Cache have nothing to do with it.

I just downgraded back to 3.6, the only version I have never had trouble with and everything is back to normal! Get it here:

The problem is not fixed and only getting worse and it is related to working with Ebay's picture service.

How do I go back to version 8?

Hi, you can't get back to 8. The only one supported fully is 3.6 and that's what I have downloaded. It's working fine. Check out my previous message re Ebay and there is a link that Ebay sent to me. Click on it and do the download. Good luck!
