Why are my bookmark menus overlapping when they open now?

My bookmark menus have started opening over each other when you bring the cursor over them. This means they obscure all the menus below, and often some above them. This happened spontaneously.

Many thanks

This is what it looks like

That can be caused by having some bookmarks with a long title in the main Bookmarks menu.
The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name.
You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.

Thanks man, but the bookmarks menu seemed to be fine with long bookmark names before and now it's obscuring my other bookmarks when I open a submenu. Any ideas?

Thanks again

Hope someone is still reading this thread. I have the same problem. Sub bookmarks open to the right of the main dropdown in FF 4.01. Just tried FF 13. The submenus open right over the main dropdown. Yes, I have long link names, but that was never was, and still is not, a problem in FF 4.01

Anyone found a solution.

No joy yet, man. If you have any success I'd be really grateful if you could post it here. I'm still soldiering on using the bookmarks menu icon on the top right, in the most-visited column. Best of luck.
