Add on manager won't load in FF11 - simply says "Loading" for hours
Using FF11 on Win 7, the add on manager simply says loading forever. I'm unable to access my own addons to activate / deactivate them as appropriateI've tried: 1) Clicking on Extensions, Plugins, Appearance then going back to Add on 2) Starting in safe mode and resetting user preferences 3) The addon site is up and working and I can add new addons by accessing the address directly from my browser 4) Uninstalling and reinstalling firefox
Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I see this was a problem on FF6 but I haven't seen people having trouble with FF11
Thanks

I've fixed it - backed up by preferences with MozBackup (favorites and passwords only), uninstalled firefox, reinstalled firefox then restored my backup. I've had to reinstall my extensions separately. Seems like my extensions in APPDATA got corrupted (or something!)

If the Get Ad-ons tab is selected on the about:addons page then you can go to a different tab like"Extensions" to see the extensions or "Plugins" to see the plugins.

I'm not clear what you are suggesting I'm sorry. Plugins brings up my plugins, Extensions is blank but the Get Addons tab just loads and loads

Do you have many extensions installed?
Firefox sends a list of currently installed extensions to the Mozilla server to avoid extensions that are already installed from getting suggested.
I have a fair few installed but have deactivated them all since this started in the hope that it was a conflict of some kind. The extensions tab is just blank though there should be some extensions there. Just for fun I let it try to connect to the Addon page and after 2 hours - still nothing -- sighhhh
Thanks for your thoughts
