I went online this morning, eveyrhtign was fine. Tried to open a little pop-screen to see the various colors of a backpack, and the images didn't show. I updated my Flash (although I knew that wasn't the problem) and then just figured it was this site's problem. Re-opened Firefox, went to Facebook--signed on, and no images showed at all. Now, no images are showing on any sites. Images are showing in the navigation bar. Fine on Safari.

Hi KrisConfused

Try clearing Firefox's cookies and cache and check it again.

see in about:config the permissions.default.image and set it to 1 the default (right click > modify > 1)

HI, Thanks for those tips. I went to the pages you linked to and read, but I'm not seeing *how* to access permissions.default.image, so I can check if it's set it to 1. ANy tips? I'm on a Mac, so no right click.  :) Thanks so much for your time!!

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

  • Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
  • Check that images are enabled: Firefox > Preferences > Content: [X] Load images automatically
  • Check the exceptions in "Firefox > Preferences > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
  • Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).

If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "Block Images from..." then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.image pref should be 1.

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.
