Is the profile marked as "Default=1" listed in the profiles.ini file still present?
If not then use the Profile Manager to create a new profile.

I believe I can't open a firefox menu bar because "Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
this is the only file in my profiles folder: go2hgd5w.default
Can I just uninstall firefox....will that solve the problem or make it worse? someone please answer
Did you try to use the Profile Manager to create a new profile?
You can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.
