FF crashes on start up, even in safe mode, I did all the checks, av scans, un/reinstalls, dll search etc. still nada
I had a problem a few weeks ago where certain sites weren't showing up properly. Posted the questions, got sent some links to the latest version of FF. Then FF crashed outright. It crashes on start up. I had used the link sent to me from that earlier problem to get the latest version of FF. Did the uninstall/reinstall, still didn't work. I tried the start up in Safe Mode, still crashed. I've run every av scan and malware scan on my machine, nothing shows up. I tried a system defrag on someone's suggestion. Still doesn't work. I tried the DLL file search, but the only crash report I get is from Windows, not from the FF software.
I have CCleaner, Malware Bytes, and I've used both Avast and Microsoft Securities, and found nothing.
I can't access anything regarding FF, it just crashes. Doesn't matter how, it's in safe mode, my computer is in safe mode, FF just refuses to start and I can't get a FF Crash Report, all I can get is the Windows crash report for FF.

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
I've done just Safe Mode with no other options and it crashes, with network support make any difference?
No, I don't think that enabling network support would make a (positive) difference.
You can try to do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Installation_directory
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 16.0.x: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
- Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you will also lose your personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored in the Firefox Profile Folder and won't be affected by an uninstall and (re)install, but make sure that "remove personal data" is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep having problems then also try to create a new profile.
ok, so I had a different issue, which at this point makes me think there may be a hardware problem, but I did a scan disk check, or drive check, something like that, where it fixes errors on the drive. That seems to have taken care of the picture problem from my last question/problem, since that problem carried over to chrome. So I solved the viewing issue. FF still won't load though. When I click it now, it actually gives me a FF crash report instead of a Windows crash report, but no crash report number. When I click on give me details, nothing happens.
