Hardware Acceleration is no longer present as a user-settable option on Firefox 20 under OSX - Accessibility is the first sub-heading under Advanced.

Is the screen shot here out of date?

...it was AdBlock Plus. What's worse, it was a custom filter in AdBlock Plus. I stand corrected. Thanks again for your help.

Hi xilantro, you asked:

What verbiage would you use to search bugzilla for the OSX 10.6 w. Firefox 20.0 bug I found? I want to report it, and have not seen a dupe there, but better to be sure.

I'm not good at searching Bugzilla. If this relates to hardware acceleration, you could try searching for the word acceleration, and also the preference name, which is: gfx.direct2d.disabled (the options checkbox toggles this between false (default) and true).

Thanks - i'll look for direct2d - that should catch it if it's been reported.

Hey xilantro!

Think I found the bug that fixed this the 1st time it broke:
Bug 595180 - [OS X] [OpenGL] Window resizer not drawn

Now it looks like you need to file a new bug and include a link/reference back to it. Don't comment in the old bug. Once a bug is fixed, new work & discussion should be done in a fresh bug. Makes things cleaner & less confusing for the devs. Also I'd copy the other parts of the bug like Product: Core & Component: Graphics.

So it looks like you found a big bug.

Hi All,

Just one thing: I ran into this issue today, Fri 05-24, just after my OS 10.6.8 did some software updates.

Not sure if the updates included any to Firefox; if not, then the issue of the missing image may not be entirely Firefox' fault.

Also, quick note that resizing still can be done when the image is missing, as weird as that feels :)

And Thanks for the details how to fix this ;)
