Mac OS 10.8.3 / 2.5Ghz i5 / 20GB 1333Mhz.

Firefox was installed. Firefox was not activated/operational. I prefer to use Safari. Mac-Safari was very slow, downloading of a page was like 20 years ago. I tried to find the reason-why.

The activity-monitor showed that Firefox uses 100% CPU ... but Ff was not activated/operational!!! I uninstalled Ff ... and emptied the bucket. The activity-monitor still showed that Firefox used 100% CPU. I can't understand this ...

At this moment the Mac is speed as it should be. But Ff keeps me wondering. What is happening?

Firefox was not activated but used 100% of the CPU.

Even after I uninstalled Firefox ... the Activitymonitor showed use of the CPU by Ff about 100%.
