FF 24.0 stopped openning download dialogue box when downloading a file or openning attachment from mail. It used to work just fine. Just noticed that it stopped

FF opens new window though. But no dialogue box to allow the options to download or use a default app to open the downloaded object.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.
