shortcut key to Clear Recent History no longer works
IN Firefox 24 I could use <shift><command><delete> to clear recent history, but this no longer works in Firefox 25. I tried creating a shortcut key through system preferences and tried a number of different combinations, but none of then work. Why? How do I bring back an shortcut key for this?
Thanks

That shortcut works for me and brings a dialog box, with the following prompt.
It does seem to not work when focused in a input box such as this reply box.
Your sort of right - just tested it - if I'm on google's homepage and the cursor is in the search field it doesn't work, but it does when you take it out. But when I close all windows without quitting it still doesn't work - it used to.
Thanks anyway - at least now I know to click outside a field. But that is one extra step which is pretty annoying.
The Windows equivalent seems to work in this input box and on Google search. Could it be a Mac-specific change?
Note that keyboard shortcuts do not work if a plugin has focus or if there is otherwise code running that intercepts key presses.
The only plugin I have running is shockwave flash and it doesn't work in safe mode either when all addons are disabled.
Plugins are not affected by running Firefox in Safe Mode and are still working.
Does it help if you click the mouse elsewhere (e.g. the location bar) to move the focus away from the browsing area?
In Firefox Safe mode these changes are effective:
- all extensions are disabled
- default theme is used (no persona)
- userChrome.css and userContent.css are ignored
- default toolbar layout is used (localstore-safe.rdf)
- Javascript JIT compilers are disabled (javascript.options.*jit)
- hardware acceleration is disabled
- plugins are not affected
- preferences are not affected
Can someone who has an account file this as a bug - it never used to work this way. If all firefox windows are closed (but not quit), one should be able to use the shortcut key to clear history. Just makes sense. That's how it used to work.
Thanks for all the suggestions and help.
