I just got a smartphone (Samsung Note 3) and have been trying to sync. As another questioner said, it is poorly described. I even looked on youtube -- (doesn't show you what to do when both pull up the 12 digit codes to input as they're both acting like the primary!). Anyway, in trying to sync to my .msn email account (had for 15+ years and don't want to give up since everyone knows it), it got me wondering if I should be using Skydrive instead of Firefox sync. Since I'm essentially using firefox only as my shell (because I love the stability and some of the features on restoring previous sessions) but Bing is the internet search engine, and .msn (or stupid windows live managed by outlook? I'm so confused on that one....I get the hotmail went away but now it's what? I can't keep it straight) for my email address through Microsoft, will I have better stability or whatever using Microsoft Skydrive when adding my new phone to the system? I hope this isn't too confusing but email has changed so much, not even sure if I'm supposed to call Firefox a portal or what as my shell for viewing email (and I still use IE for pulling it up as sometimes that accesses my kids learning software sites better), and this cloud thing is hard to get to work.

hello, firefox sync is only there to sync your bookmarks and passwords from your firefox on desktop to firefox on your android device, so that isn't related to your email in particular: Use Sync to share your Firefox bookmarks, passwords and more with Firefox for mobile

in order to access your email it's probably best to use samsung's email app that is already built in to your device and configure it to use your msn address or download the dedicated microsoft app from the play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.outlook.Z7

however, since this subject isn't really a matter of your firefox browser, please consult the documentation of the other vendors or if any more questions should arise, please contact their support channels:

thank you!
