Mozilla Firefox slow loading Web
Hello,
After my ISP had a routine maintenance on 2nd of feb this year, I've been experiencing slow web load. First, I thought it was my ISP, but 5 almost 5 days are passed, and it's still slow. Checked Speedtest, ping is over 200 ms, download & upload speed are normal. I switched back to Chrome to see if the problem is the same, but Chrome is uber fast, 18 ping.
Tried to delete cache, cookies etc, still the same. Any help?! Thanks!

What kind of system are you using? What version of Firefox?
What add-ons / plugins do you have? Try these out;
Clear the Cache Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
and
Remove Cookies Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

I'm using Windows 7 32bit system. I used Mozilla FF 26, but today is version 27. I did clean up Cache, Cookies and ran Mozilla FF in Safe Mode, still the problem persists.
I'm scanning every day to Malwares, now I'm doing again to be sure.
Try loading a web page that is small, not too much on it. Say, Mozilla.org. Is that slow? Also, Start Windows Internet Explorer and see if it is also slow.
All websites are slow. Only if I want to browse sites with plain HTML it's not.
Did you try Windows Internet Explorer?

You can try to reset (power off/on) the router.
I'm not a fan of IE, never will try it.
@cor-el I did that zillion times.
Modified
The problem could be your web server. By running another web browser, we will know one way or the other. If you have Real Player, it also has a web browser. Whatever you decide to use, just pop around to a few sites on the web and watch the loading speed of the pages.
You should call your provider and ask them to test your service.
ISP service is fine.
Google Chrome is fast, Firefox is slow, I don't want Chrome to use. Don't have Real Player
Okay, now we know it has to do with Firefox.
I was going back over the prior posts. You mention plain HTML sites.
when loading the pages, how fast / slow does the page itself load
(not counting pictures, videos and other stuff like that).
Plain HTML, few seconds, very slow.
I'm running out of ideas. Unplug / reset the modem.

Reset Firefox
Hello s107, any luck if you boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) ?
thank you
@Fred I did that 100,000 times, nothing helped :( And I've reset Firefox. Same, nothing.
@ideato I will try that ASAP.
u update ur firefox browser version
Yes I did. Latest 27.0.
And Safe Mode, same thing.
Note that sites like Speedtest are using the Flash plugin, so if that shows a slow download speed then this can be an issue with the Flash plugin.
You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:
- disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
- disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
Did all steps, same thing - slow.
Which part of retrieving the files is slow?
Does inspecting the Timeline pane in the Network tab in the Web Console (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer;Ctrl+Shift+K) give any clues?
Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache by using Ctrl+F5 to reload the page.
