Problem installing addons

I recently had to refresh Firefox and had to reinstall some add-ons. These included ad block,ad block plus and web ad block. After the download is complete I click install and nothing happens. Never had this problem before.Any ideas? Have current version of Firefox on Win8 Thanks

You need to subscribe to a Filter list (e.g. the EasyList).

I have the current version of FF but how do I know which add-ons are compatible with it? The ones in question are- ad block ad block plus web ad blocker ghostly Thanks

The problem seems to have solved itself.Went to extension page and the ones that would not install were there and working. I was also able to install a few more with no problems. Seems strange but oh well
