DIsplay refresh problem: Pixellations
The pixellation occurs only in Firefox. I have tried hooking up other computer monitors and LDC displays and the problem is the same no matter what display is hooked up. It only happens with Firefox and not with other browsers or any other programs on my computer including the desktop. Since I cannot post a screenshot, I will try to describe what I am seeing. The Firefox header and sidebars display a random mask of grey squares which hide the text such as menu text but not the white address bars. If I move my mouse over top of this grey block, it refreshes and show the text and menu icons properly. The mouseover refreshes the text and icons but not the background of the menu or sidebar headers. They remain chopped up with randomly sized darker colored opaque blocks of squares, rectangles, and combinations of these.

Hello,
Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration. Since this feature was added to Firefox, it has gradually improved, but there still are a few glitches.
You might need to restart Firefox in order for this to take effect, so save all work first (e.g., mail you are composing, online documents you're editing, etc.).
Then perform these steps:
- Click the orange Firefox button at the top left, then select the "Options" button, or, if there is no Firefox button at the top, go to Tools > Options.
- In the Firefox options window click the Advanced tab, then select "General".
- In the settings list, you should find the Use hardware acceleration when available checkbox. Uncheck this checkbox.
- Now, restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.
Additionally, please check for updates for your graphics driver by following the steps mentioned in the following Knowledge base articles:

Hi, so far I have just disabled hardware acceleration in Firefox and this seems to be working. I will give it a few more days and then mark off this answer as solved if the issue does not re-appear. Thanks!
