I changed puters, xl to win7 I had copied profile of xl puter to an external drive and copied it over to win7 puter but the bookmarks aren't showing up nothing,no favorites icopied the profiles to where they were on win7 what am I doing wrong

Do you mean Windows XP?

Windows 7 uses a different location for the profile folder than Windows 7.

Windows XP:

  • C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

Windows Vista and later: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

  • Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Director: Show Folder (Linux: Open Director; Mac: Show in Finder)
