I get my messages, it shows that there are 6 int he inbox, but when i click to see them, nothing shows up. wherever i click, nothing gets available to read.
I hit get new mail from pop.gmail. it shows that it is getting the new messages. but when i try to open inbox, nothing shows up. so frustrating.

Please make sure your settings are correct Mozillazine: Using Gmail with Thunderbird
You can also try to right click on the folder of emails and click Properties > General Information > "Repair Folder".
