Update page does not load on XP
I have two computers using Windows XP SP3. Both use Firefox as browsers. They are always updated to the latest version.
Some add-ins, like Adobe/Shockwave Flash, get blocked if they are deemed unsafe. The update process points me to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/
The pinwheel spins and spins and the update page never loads, even after an hour of waiting.
What's up? Is Firefox on a Windows XP SP3 machine no longer updateable?
Thanks.

Your Shockwave Flash is currently up to date.
Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the active_x for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).
Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the active_x.
Flash Player Version: 21.0.0.213
Flash Player (Linux) Version 11.2.202.616

FredMcD, Thanks for your reply. Perhaps I didn't explain the dilemma correctly. Firefox insists that Shockwave Flash is vulnerable and blocks it. I click on the update button. I am redirected to a page that explains why Flash is blocked and am instructed to click on the Plug-in Check page. The Plug-in Check page never loads my plug-ins or does more than show a spinning pinwheel. This is the same scenario on both Windows XP SP3 computers. Is XP SP3 no longer supported? How can I get around this hang at the Plug-in Check page? Thanks.
This is a known issue with the update checker. You can use the links above to check your players.
If you want, this web page is operated by users and tells users when plugins have been updated. Just click the Watch This Post button.
