I just received an email from you guys saying my data was breached in may 2018. why am I just being told about this now, and not over a year ago?

Firefox Monitor searches through data that has been published following a breach - the only time we will be able to know when that breach included your data.

In this instance the breach may have happened in 2018, but the data has only be made available to be searched more recently.
