Text communications are a LOT more expressive in Rich Text Format and although I can enable RTF independently in both Gmail and Yahoo Mail, I understand that my Firefox browser can do it for me!

If that is true how do I make that happen? Then, not only would RTF be automatically enabled in my regular web mail but also, if available, in the various forums and sites that I may choose to add a few words, like HERE!! :-)

A Rich Text editor is a feature offered by the website. If the website support this type of text editor then you can enable it via the settings. Firefox has a builtin RT editor, but websites need to enable this editor, otherwise you get the plain text editor like used by this forum.

Actually, both Yahoo & Gmail have sufficient formatting as-is, like bold, italics, font & color changes. However, sometimes I like to work on a message offline in WordPad or some such, then copy it into my mail form, but when I do I lose all my formatting. I thought I'd standardize them by having Firefox turn on the formatting, y'know? And I thought I saw such an option in Firefox, just can't find it.

But thanks for your input.

Pasting HTML formatted content in a RTF editor in only possible if this editor supports this because this is a content editable element (container) and there are security issues regarding pasting. If the editor has a button to switch to showing the HTML source then you can paste the raw HTML code from your editor to retain the formatting. For 'normal' editors like on this forum you need to add formatting code yourself or paste the raw HTML code (you can use a basic set of HTML tags in most cases or BBCode in some other cases).
