But I think Wanadoo and other similar email addresses that were freely available many years ago are "deprecated" and will eventually stop working sooner or later. You should consider the intermittent problems you're experiencing now as a sign that you better start using another email address before it stops working altogether.

When you're asked for the 'IMAP password', is this an application password? If not, create one on the Orange site, remove the current entry for the account in Saved Passwords in Settings, restart TB, enter the app password when asked for the password.
